William "Cody" Boisclair is a Research Engineer on the Natural Language Understanding team. His research interest is in the area of parsing.
Before joining Nuance, Cody was a Ph.D. student at the University of Georgia, with most of his research there related to the automated analysis of syntactic complexity through shallow dependency parsing of speech transcripts. Prior to 2013, he was a part of Nuance's research team on question answering, with a particular focus on adapting medical documents to improve information retrieval. His current work at Nuance focuses on improving the detection of intents and entities in transactional queries, such as those from mobile assistant applications.
