Nicola Ueffing joined Nuance in 2011. She received her PhD in Computer Science and Diploma in Mathematics from RWTH Aachen University. Her PhD research focused on statistical machine translation (SMT), developing confidence measures for MT. Nicola did a PostDoc in the SMT group at the National Research Council Canada. Her research interests include Language Modeling, Automatic Speech Recgonition, Natural Language Processing, and Statistical Machine Translation.
