Jin Chen is a Ph.D candidate in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Lehigh University. He has been a research assistant at Pattern Recognition Lab since 2007. Before he joined Lehigh, he received a bachelor's degree from Nanjing University of Sci. & Tech. (NJUST) in China, 2006. Then he served as a sever-end software engineer for one year at Shanda Network Inc. for massive multi-player online games (1M+ players in peak time). In fall 2007, he joined Lehigh as a Ph.D student working with his advisor Professor Dan Lopresti on handwriting biometrics and document image analysis. During his Ph.D study, he enjoyed three times of summer internship at Raytheon BBN Technologies in Cambridge MA for large-scale Arabic handwriting recognition. Now, he continues to serve as part of the technical program committees for conferences including ICDAR, ACPR, ICIP, DAS. He is also an active reviewer of ACM Computing Reviews since 2011. As in spare time, he enjoys playing basketball and pool, skiing, traveling, and has recently become a fan of New England Patriots. Go Pats!
