Jiaying Shen is a researcher in the Artificial Intelligence and Reasoning group and working on advancing the multi-turn dialog management technologies. Her research interest includes dialogue-based human-machine interaction, Multi-Agent coordination, Multi-Agent decision theoretic planning, reasoning under uncertainty, and machine learning. She received her Ph.D. degree from University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Prior to joining Nuance, she was a computer scientist at SRI International, where she was a key contributor to the DARPA Bootstrap Learning project. She worked closely with leading researchers and developed an artificial student that learns from various natural human instruction methods through a human-machine interface.
