Geert-Jan M. Kruijff is a Senior NLP Research Manager. He leads the language teams, responsible for developing language resources for cloud-based NLU. Geert-Jan obtained a PhD in computational & mathematical linguistics from Charles University in Prague (2001), and an engineering degree in computer science from the University of Twente in The Netherlands (1995). He has over 120 books and peer-reviewed publications in computational linguistics, robotics, human-robot interaction, and philosophy (h-index=22). He is well-known for his contributions to (combinatory) categorial grammar, multilinguality in language generation, spatial language, abductive inference, situated dialogue processing in human-robot interaction, and robot-assisted disaster response.
