Edward Stabler is a Senior Principal Research Scientist with research interests in the area of Natural Language & AI. Edward worked for IBM, Quintus Computing Systems, and Intelligent Text Processing before becoming a professor of Linguistics at UCLA, where he specialized in computational linguistics, formal learning theory, syntax and semantics. He has more than 70 publications, including several co-authored books and texts. At Nuance he continues his work on linguistic technologies. He received his B.A. from the University of Arizona (1976) and Ph.D. (1981) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
