Carlos Perez is a developer in the dialog team for the projects using the NCS platform. He joined Nuance in 2013. Previously he worked for a year as a research software developer for Moffitt Cancer Center in the biomedical informatics team. Prior to that, he was a research associate at the Florida Institute for Human and Machine Cognition for 6 years, developing CMapTools (a concept mapping software for research and education); developing algorithms for routing, security, optimization and topology control in mobile ad hoc networks; and developing machine learning systems for network security, network optimization, and automated risk assessment of information disclosure. Carlos has a Bachelor degree in Computer Science from EAFIT University, in Medellin, Colombia, and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of West Florida, in Pensacola, Florida. .
